The work of the Holy Trinity

Reflection on the work of the Holy Trinity in our life.

Synopsis:-
> Everything that the Father gives Jesus, He never drives away. (Jn 6:37)

> Because for Jesus, doing God's will is a priority. (Jn 6:38)

> And the will of God is, not to lose anything that God gives Him on the last day. (Jn. 6:39)

> The Father teaches his children. They are the ones who hear and learn from the Father. (Jn. 6:45)
> Those who read God's Word have already been made clean. (Jn 15:3)

> Jesus sends His Advocate from the Father, the Holy Spirit, He will testify about Christ, convict us of our sin, make us righteous and finally a clean soul during the Judgement day.

Reflection:-

Often we are posed with this dilemma, "Is God with us in our struggle?" How do I sought to do the Will of God in my life? Who is the one I need to look to? Who can help me out with it? How does God, Jesus and Holy Spirit work in our lives?

Jesus, in His public ministry only sought to do the will of the Father. Now, what is it like to do the will of God? According to Gospel of John, the will of God is, not to lose anything and anyone whom the Father has chosen to be lost on the last day. And also, the will of God is to believe in His Son Jesus Christ.

The John's Gospel starts with,

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth.”

John 1:1‭, ‬14 NRSV

I was inspired by these 3 phrases, namely- Will of God, the Word and the Helper the Holy Spirit.

We all must have heard Muslims saying this phrase almost every time i.e. “Insha Allah” which literally means “if God wills”. It really is a powerful tool to empower God which we Catholics barely use.

Often we get confused on what should I do to fulfill the will of God? Then the person discerns and tries to find the will of God. St. Paul nicely portrays this in his letter to Corinth Church,

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31 NRSV

Have you ever seen some people who go for retreats and hear the preachings, and as the preaching continues they actually get healed or they get relieved from within? Even we, the youth from our prayer group often exclaim this that after the preaching, “I've really felt so good!” What's all these??? This is the power of the Word of God.

You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you.

John 15:3 NRSV

Now, it's not only good to hear and be blessed but it is when you give it to others. And to empower you to do this, the Holy Spirit the Helper is given to us. After the Vatican Council II, the doors and windows were opened to the Holy Spirit, and you can tangibly see the merits of it. So many lay people started getting involved in the Church activities, the mass was revolutionized, interaction with the priests increaed, love of God was implored to people, and the list goes on and on. This is the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the Acts of the Apostles, the Pentacost is the highlighting movement. There is no limits to the power of the Holy Spirit. When we receive confirmation, we get anointed with the Holy oil and the Bishop seals us with his Ring. At that moment we say that say, Yes! I am going to be a witness for Christ henceforth. The articles that I write are all the works of the Holy Spirit too.

Therefore, when you are going to do something in your life may it be big or small always invoke the presence of God in it. Seek God's will, cleanse all the negativity with the Word of God and be inspired by the Holy Spirit.
