Are you stressed?!
How to handle stress!
Key scripture:-
Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
Luke 9:23 NRSV
Reflection:-
There are two types of main stresses which humans go through. One is physical stress and the other is emotional stress. The latter is most difficult to cope up with and is also a root cause to many diseases.
Past week has been the most stressful week of mine, wherein, I was in no mood of doing anything, but just sleep it out! Even to associate with God was becoming so difficult. Finally, St. Paul came to the rescue as I heard about their initial struggles in the book of Acts of the Apostles. Can I compare my stress with the amount of sufferings they went through as they proclaimed Christ? Certainly not!
The phrase "walk the talk" has been a challenge for all the preacher and the teachers of Word of God. If not followed you end up being hypocrite! So I through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit inspired many people but who will come to my aid when I'm in need?
As I attended the mass, I surrendered all my stresses to God before the start of the mass and during offertory time. As I surrendered and prayed to transform these sorrows of mine to joy, I cannot express the joy that I suddenly experienced since then.
It is only by the grace of God we can move on in life. Always focus on your ultimate reward that is "communion with God"( which is also called Heaven).
Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one. So I do not run aimlessly, nor do I box as though beating the air; but I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified.
1 Corinthians 9:25-27 NRSV
Finally, to wrap up; we all go through stress each and every day. No matter how big is the gravity of your stress, the grace that God will provide is far more beyond(Rom 9:20). Remain in Him(Jn 15:4) and He will send The Helper to your rescue you(14:26). Work on the virtue of "self-control"(1 Corin 9:25), master it from your teenage and then there wouldn't be anything to shake you up. Ask for the intercession of Mother Mary and Saints through Jesus Christ. And last, be humble and except others better than you(Phil 2:3). Read this scripture mentioned below and be inspired! 😇
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death— even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:5-11 NRSV
