A call to Holiness

As I spoke to my Cloistered nun friend and was listening to her spirituality, the words that she spoke kept me pondering. We nuns need to be like god(small "g") i.e. in our thoughts, words and deeds. Every word that we speak should lead the person to God. This blog will be what my God kept me thinking about the whole mass.

Every time we judge! Yes, we do! May it be someone that we hate or any person who poses a threat to our intellect. We Judge. And soon the Lord started showing me flashbacks of my past where I've been judgemental in a situation and also showed me how He would tackle the same situation.

Jesus showed me series of His life events when He being the King and His Father being the Creator; showed that life is not always happy with possessions and wealth. Crib was His birthplace and not a fancy hospital. Poor Lazarus, Mary and Martha were His best friends and not rich people like Herod. Sinners were someone who could change from their lives then the ones who thought who had no sin in them. The universality of His love irrespective of the religion they followed as in the case of the lady who asked Jesus to heal her child. The terror of the horrific death at the garden of Gethsemane and embracing it for the love of His people. Powerful yet acted powerless even when the thief challenged Him on the Cross that, if he had the same power than he would have freed himself and punished his wrongdoers.

This taught me that, I who think that I am Spiritual, am actually not even 1% like Jesus. Do I love every person not taking into consideration their religious beliefs? Do I see every person irrespective if I love or hate them as an unique creation of God? Do I humble myself in a debate? Do I accept everything that I've received as a gift from God? Is it always a quest to be someone great with power or a life with simple a background? I can now say that the knowledge that I have of Christ is meager. And that's where I find an opportunity to open my doors to new revelations and new inspirations. "Humility" is the key to that door.

Jesus showed me to look at the priests and nuns who don't labour for necessities, but yet receive it generously through people. Yes, now I can say life with Christ is rich! Rich in love, rich in happiness, rich in surprises, rich in fellowship and finally rich in holiness.

Praise God ❤️
